My stock clutch with 160,000 miles is slipping pretty bad, i had a hard time passing on the interstate today because of it. Anyways i have done some home work and decided to go with a 500hp Valair 13"clutch. Since i am pulling the trans to replace the clutch is there anything else i should consider doing trans wise wile it is out? I know about the fifth gear nut and intend to take care of that just not sure how yet.

 

have you ever had anytrouble with the 5th gear nut? if not it might be a good idea to pull the tail housing and make sure its still tight.

 

no 5th gear nut problems yet but i plan on doing the clutch in 2 weeks or so and the plan is to check it then.
