lift kit issues

ok heres the problem
im lookin for a 5 inch lift kit for my 2500
dont have to be long arm as long as it has arms w/kit

my big question is how am i gonna use the blocks that come w/kits since i already have the big 4.5 blocks that come stock on my truck

will i have to stack these blocks?
is that safe? 4.5+5" block stack?
what kit to get thats not super expensive

Most lift kits for pick-ups don't lift the rear as much as the front, A 5 inch lift will raise the front 5 inches, but the rear is usually only lifted 2-3 inches. This is done since most trucks sit lower in the front stock, and most people prefer there truck to sit level after a lift kit is installed. So no you won't be stacking a 5 inch block on top of your stock block, more like a 2 or 2.5 inch block. BUT.....

Stacking blocks is not a great idea no matter how small they are. Look for a lift that uses add-a-leafs or even better a full replacement leaf pack to raise the rear. At the very least buy a single large block, that equals the height and angle, that the stock block+the lift kit block would come to.

That's weird i have never seen kits that "Stack Blocks". It should come with a spring pack that will just sit on your exsisting factory block.
