Nerf Bars from Dodge
Nerf Bars from Dodge
I have seen a couple of 04 2500's QC with chrome nerf bars with Dodge on the footpad. Anyone know how much these cost and is Dodge the only place to get them.
Thinking about the wheel to wheel ones also.
Thanks

Re:Nerf Bars from Dodge
I would say visit your local dealer, I would imagine they are a dealer only option. I was at the dealer getting some pricing on a new truck, and I think the "chrome group" option was in the $600.00 range. I would prefer to go with an aftermarket brand, to many people will just let the dealer install the nerfs, and I would rather be different.

Steven, you'll save literally hundreds of dollars buying them yourself and doing the simple install. My dealer pitch them to me and they weren't even stainless. I got stainless bars for less than what they wanted for the steel ones.

Re:Nerf Bars from Dodge
I have the Dodge brand chrome nerf bars with Dodge footpads and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I installed them myself and found them to be of lower quality thank Smittybuilt or DeeZee. I have had continuous problems with the mounts loosening up and they make a "cracking" sound when you step up on the passenger side of the truck. Have tightened them up several times and still problems...would recommend looking at other brands.
Re:Nerf Bars from Dodge
check out westin for chromed stainless steel or another company with similar quality. you should be able to get a great nerf bar with a lifetime warranty for much less than $600. I think I paid around $350 for my chromed stainless westins.
