Need some help for those that know.
I am looking to build about 550-650 HP in to my truck. I need to be able to tow about 12,000-15,000#'s. But i can valet switch to cut back on the fuel when towing, correct? I would like to have a good truck for the drag strip but most importantly it needs to be a daily driver that can stomp any PSD around.
I have been looking at New Era Diesel's EDM'd 435's, a SPS66(very open to suggestions here) to get stared for now.
What turbo, injectors ect. can get me there and still be streetable?
Yes $ is very important as i am still in school.

Honestly at that HP level I don't think you are gonna find anything that spools the way you want it to and still be able to keep you cool while towing. That is a lot of fuel and a big single charger will handle it, but it'll be extremely laggy.
I suggest shooting for the 400hp mark, you'll be able to tow pretty much whatever you want, stay with a single, and still be able to keep cool. Twins would be the way to go, but like you said money is a little thin for you.
What you could do is get the BD Super B turbo for now, and then once you have the money you can buy the twins upgrade kit and have one awesome set of twins. That turbo will get you over the 400hp mark with some injectors and it "should" tow pretty well. I've heard a lot of people really like that turbo............

It is going to take a lot of money to run like you want it to, and still be able to tow 15K lbs. That normally takes two different style of builds. There are guys here doing it, but speed costs money, and towability costs money, so open the check book. I would choose one or the other for now while funds are tight.

Take it from someone who tried to build what you want!!
If you want High HP, AND have to tow that much weight...you WILL NEED twins!!!
I don't care who you ask, a single...any single, won't handle the power, and towing enough to keep EGT's in check!!
If you can't afford to do it all at once, wait!! Do the turbo's first, then start adding fuel! This is much safer than the other way around!
If it was me, I'd start with a BD Super B, HTBG, or something that size for a start...the 62mm chargers don't spool well enough for my liking when towing that heavy. With 4.10's, you might be OK, but it won't be fun!
Then, hang a B2 under it for support...you should have enough air to get over 500, but 600would be rough with a stock head and cam on a 12v...and still be able to tow! On my old truck, I was going to do what you are wanting, but I was going with a fully ported head, and cam!
Another thing is timing...for towing, 16-17* is as far as I'd go...especially with twins! To make 600hp, it's gonna take more than 17* of timing, probably closer to 20*! Another tradeoff!
You just found the nicer thing about the newer trucks...Better head flow (when stock), variable timing, and more adjustable power control!!
IMHO,

I was also going to call Industrial Injection, and see if they had anything that size, with their upgraded bearings and usual mods. I never got around to that, so you might give them a call too! OR Doug @ PDW might be able to answer that for you...He sells their chargers!
