I'm trying to add a primary fuel filter/water separator between my fuel tank and the lift pump. I called the Cummins Filtration technical help line to get a number for a fuel filter that would work and she told me any filter before the lift pump would be too much of a restriction and would damage my engine, and that she could not give me any information that would damage my engine. So, does anybody have a Baldwin or Donaldson fuel filter part number that would work?
I would like: primary fuel filter/water separator, 30 to 50 micron rating, spin-on to fit a 1-14 fitting, about 3.7 inch OD and less that 8 inches in length. Thanks.
