Wanted to run this by some people for opinions. I was thinking about frenching in a louvered scoop or vent into my fender, then connecting my stock air box to some 4 or 5" stainless tubing or even pvc for a quick fix directly to the vent so it sucks air from outside. i have a K&N (bought before i knew what a BHAF even was) Obviously it would have to face backwards as to not draw in water during rainy days. Would the improvement be worth doing or just a waste of time?

 

i have been thinking about doing the same thing. i dont know if it would be worth it or not. my wife thinks it is just too much so i am holding off on it.

 

I don't know if the EGT drop would be noticeable or worth it, but it would seem to be a hard project to do without it looking cheezy/fake/tacky... Probably be easier to just get an intake.
