what is the part that the dip stick is bolted to on top of the motor that people say if you replace it it will help your truck breath better and run better does this realy work because i am looking to make my truck run better but dont want to go extreme because i pull alot and dont want to burn it up?

2002 With A Edge Comp Chip And 3" Straight Afe Oem Filter Getting A Stage 2 In A Week And Wanting To Upgrade My Edege To The Juice So I Dont Have All Those Gauges Just One Setup!

 

I guess you are referring to the intake manifold. Theres really no need to replace your stocker. Banks High Ram, ATS Arc Flow.. it doesn't really help you that much. Is your truck manual or automatic?

It's called the 'Air Horn' and most agree that replacing it is a waste of money! If you follow the flow of intake air into the valves, you will see this for yourself.
Not like a gasser. Diesels rely on pressure to get air to the cylinder...not smooth flow.
