Im running a completely stock 97 12v, automatic. i want to do a #6 fuel plate with a 3k GSK kit, any recommendations or advice? will the tranny last with this? thanks!

 

Tranny won't make it....... so start saving. Not sure what a 6 plate is, but most run a 10

I plow and tow. It does both but im looking at subcontracting towing equipment roughly 12-15thousand pounds. Wants more power. Wat would i need to do to the transmission?

 

4-5K will put you in a decent built trans, best to contact one of the builders, HTS, Goerend, ATS and ask for their recommendation.

I like Goerend, Dusty at HTS knows his stuff, and ATS has a good reputation as well.

You don't need full billet race stuff for what you describe, but you will need quality parts.......
