Angry need a fuel system upgrade!!!!!!

ok i just replaced my lift pump and my injection pump about 3 to 4 thousand miles ago. and its been workin awesome till today. i was drivin and i had my comp on and i gave it a little fuel and i noticed it didnt go like it usually did..... then after about 6 or 8 seconds it finally accelerated like it should. it did this to me twice. then i turned off the comp and it didnt do it again. and i wasnt smoking NEAR what it should have been. but then i got to where i was going, turned it off and then back on, and drove home. with the comp on. And it drove like a champ and smoked like usual. So, what kinda fuel system upgrade do i go with? NOT A FASS!! its just not in the wallet range and its overkill if you ask me. so do i relocate the lift pump or get a holly blue?? or some other pusher pump?

Difficult to say... it may not be your fuel delivery at all. You need to get that FP gauge installed and you could either eliminate or pinpoint one cause. You could have a bad VP44 just starting to show itself. Check for codes first and then order a gauge. Then drive it until it starts to act like this again and see what the gauge shows... assuming your pressures are good when you install it.

Not true at all.

People have gotten DEAD lift pumps from both the dealer and Cummins - DEAD right out of the box. NEVER ASSUME your lift pump is providing adequate fuel pressure....especially when you have a fuel box like an Edge Comp. I would suggest upgrading your fuel lines with Either the Scotty or Vulcan lines provides real good bang for the buck.
