Nathan ( IdahoCTD steps it up)

I just spoke with Nathan on the tele about a 1/2 hour ago. Looks like he is stepping it up in the HP game. He just dynoed a 653HP, diesel only, of course with his twin turbo'd 24 valve. We have been making a few changes here and there with wastegates, injector size, etc to try for a few more ponnies and still have a daily driver with acceptable smoke levels. Looks like it is working He reports no fuel starvation or engine stall when he lifts the throttle up abruptly. Very good indeed. I suspect by the end of the day he may have an even higher number to report after a few more changes and tweaks. Censored of course, but not drugs, water injection or any other crutch. Just good ol stinky #2!

Don~

Re:Nathan ( IdahoCTD steps it up)

He has a HX40/16 and a HT3B/26....They are tuned in pretty dern good. His injectors are Mach 5's with some tweaks. After about 40PSI the truck produces a very light haze of gray smoke. Its hard to see at all from 50PSI and up. Very streetable. EGT's at last report did not exceed 1300 pre-turbos.

Don~

Stake,

The tranny is still needing some adjustments. Bill has something cool planned for Nates truck. Lotsa cool parts to deal with launches at high boost and the sticky tires.
We know he can better his 12.99 pass at 3000ft of elevation.

The 653HP is just getting warmed up...we are betting on more in the next few weeks with some more air and fuel games.

The quest for the first Diesel only 700HP 24 valve ( dyno verified ) is on.

Don~
700hp should do better than 12.99

Re:Nathan ( IdahoCTD steps it up)

700HP will help and Nathans current tires are lame, skinny little things for hauling/towing with. Not drag tires at all.
He currently leaves the line with mundane boost so as to not break any hard parts in the tranny. It is killing his 60 ft and 300 ft times. Once he gets some traction via tires and some tranny parts from special material...the truck will run much better in the 1/4. The truck needs to go on a diet too. It is heavy!!

Don~

Re:Nathan ( IdahoCTD steps it up)

Congrats Nathan and Jetpilot. Good to see both of you are getting there. Both are running our PDR turbo's and Jasons/Nathans piping. Nice system and they work well.
You need to add a turbo and I need to add two bigger turbos :P. The hp will make up for the additional weight incurred ;D.

Andrew,

Thanks for the congrats. Unfortunately the other idea I tried cost me 9hp. Oh well back to the drawing boards.
