Get a old style headlight switch and mount it on the floor just like the oldies. I have power for my DTT Smart Controller and Banks Exhaust brake setup that way and it works great. Becomes automatic to switch in a short time, and your left foot is aways available for that function. SNOKING

I've put it in my Rod's pod. Easily accessible. I like to see the switch and see the position it's in.

Floor set up looks really cool, but that's right where my size 13's rest. For us bigger than average guys the floorboard is off limits. Put mine next to (below) the steering column with an LED on the panel to remind me when it's on!

"Fast Draw Pistol"

I just installed my switch and did a 1000 mile trip before installing the switch in a permanent place. I am going to use my momentary switch in a pistol grip like assembly that I will fabricate. I made a console box with a lift out tray in front of the middle front seat. I will run the pistol grip wires up between the driver and middle seats and leave the "Pistol" in the tray. This way I will be able to move the "Pistol" around. No on-off switch for me!

I like the idea of the floor switch except for my "fat feet" activating it at the wrong time!

I just put one in today. I pulled the plastic cover that surrounds the steering column below the steering wheel and installed a toggle switch directly over the multifunction switch and right behind the tilt lever. Fit very nicely and out of the way. Just about as close a spot to your hand as you will find.

The lighted fog light switch fits in the hole beside the overdrive switch. Put my mystery switch and fog light switch there also and it looks good. Its also lit when the switch is on to remind me to turn it off.

Well both my TCC and OD are on toggle right now (my PCM is fried). I mounted them where my ashtray was. I'll post a pic as soon as I can.

Pistol Grip Switch

I have completed the install of my "Mystery Switch" and pictures should be attached. I used a push-button switch and made a pistol grip using styrofoam pipe insulation, a spice bottle cap, a few tie-wraps, and covered it with a grey marine vinyl cover. The wires coming out the bottom of the grip have slack stored between the driver and middle seats.

I have made others mods that include a large storage box in front of the middle seat that has a tray for a top. This allows putting valubles in the box and hiding them with the tray. If the pictures show up ok here I will send more pictures of the other mods. Bottom line is you can do lots of things to "Mod" your truck for not a lot of cash!

I have my wires wrapped along the gear shifter and it "hangs" in just the right spot... I like the drive with my hand on the shift lever... I operate the od button with my pinkie and the tc switch hangs right where my thumb is.. works great and it was simple and free to install.... I simply wrapped my wires in opossite irection around the shifter and then plugged in a switch... works great
