installed it yesterday and it works beautifully . only question is after the install i got the check engine light. just wondering if this is normal or did i do something wrong.

 

I have the diagram in my gallery. Double check and see if it is the same, or if you left something out.

 

Using a lock up switch does store codes in the computer, but usually does not illuminate the CEL. Go have your codes checked.

 

Don't suppose you happen to know what code that would be do you?

 

0743 T/C clutch circuit
1765 Transmission 12 Volt supply relay

These two are set because you need to replace the relay with a jumper, and the truck "knows" the the t/c should be unlocked at times when it is not.

 

clear them and I doubt they come back. Mine through the same codes when I first installed my switch and they havent come back since
