I ordered one and will install it this weekend or maybe the day I get it. isn't too tough.

That looks pretty interesting.... anyone here tried it yet. I'm just wondering how it integrates with existing systems. For example, I already have keyless entry which activates dome lights, panic mode, horn chirp, etc..... So in order to get all these functions to work with Crimestopper, do you have to scrap all the factory systems? That's not a bad price...... but I do like the simplicity of the cool down timer.

Looking at one of those units now... trying to sort out if an auto tranny is 'required' or if you can set it somehow to use on a 6 speed, not sure if there is a way to determine if the tranny is in gear or not, obviously leaving the truck in gear while remote starting would be a *bad* thing

yeah it would be, i never leave mine in gear anyhow.

I just ordered the unit, thanks for the idea. Shoot, remote start and cool down for less than 70 bucks. Well see how it goes, and i'll keep updated.
