Mounting location for fuse block? (Is this ok?)
I will be mounting an accessory fuse block when the weather warms up later this week. The best place I can find to do it is on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay. The location on the firewall is right behind where the stock airbox would be. If I drill some holes through that area, is there anything back there I might hit? (I "think" this is the area you would drill out for the Scotty II, but am not 100% sure).

It should be ok there (just check for wires behind the sheetmetal.)
I mounted mine on the driver's side to keep it closer to the gromet where all my wires to the inside of the truck pass through.

Ok why are you mounting it there? How are you going to run the power to it? Just asking since I'm palnning to do the same thing. However I found a small 6 circuit with a 8 ga power wire. I was going to mount that in fdront of the driver side bat, since that fuse panels main purpose will be to power all the front lighting when I rig up relays for the headlights and soon to have foglights also. 73897 - 6 Gang Fuse Block w/ 8 AWG Hot Wire, from delcity.net is the fuse panel I'm going to order. What type do you guys have? From the Battery I'm going to use a single 4ga in / 4 8ga out dist block. 2 8ga wires to the amps, 1 to the front fuse panel, and then I have 1 extra 8ga wire for later use. What do you guys think? Not sure on where to mount the fuses for the amps, I want them as close to the bat as reasonablly possible, maybe on top of the PDC?
