Morning Warm-up Can!

I just made a (hopefully) Hawaiian Punch warmup can thats fits into the exhaust tip. I cut one end open, the other 3 1" holes stuff it in and my own warmup exhaust brake. I`ll try it it the morning to see if it works.it gonna be 9 degrees then.
Danny
Total cost $1.39
Value possible ZERO

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

Caught my attention. I would like to get rid of my Camry and drive the truck full time, but don't really have anywhere to plug in. Going out in a little bit to start her up and cram a wrench to the pedal. Had her plugged in overnight, the wait to start didn't even come on.

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

Just a thought, maybe I'm way off. But if you plug up the exhaust tip, the back pressure might cause exhaust gasses to leak from any cracks, small holes or seams in the system. Might this posswibly put carbon monoxide in the cab?

I've heard of people dying because the backed the tail pipe up into a snow bank and the same thing happened. ???

Just a thought.

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

Well did it work?? I don't see any reason why it should not. I think the hard part might be getting the holes sized enough to let out the right amount of exhaust.

Maybe he passed out in the cab.
I was interested 'cause I have an auto so an EB would be a little expensive and would like to get some other work done first.

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

I have an exhaust brake. I like it but I have also tried high idling and like it too. My question is which is better for my truck? It seems to warm up quicker with high idling.

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

My 2nd one is much better. Its a 4.75" small stainless bowl that I stole from the wife and drilled Five 1/2" holes. This one fits much better.
Danny

A high Idle with the brake on is the best way to warm them up.
Danny

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

This is too funny so if he passes out or dies are any of us liable for not stopping him?

Re:Morning Warm-up Can!

I have a pedal switch so I can't high idle with the brake on.
