Mitchell or Van-Haisleys Pulling Clutch?

Hey All,

I wanted the opinion of people who have run, or are running either one of these pulling clutches.

I would like to know the streetability of each clutch. Also the ease of adjustment to each clutch? Also any problems with either clutch. What type of life each clutch has on the pulling track (I know that their are many variables)?

Please don't turn this into a mitchell vs van-haisley war, I just want to get others feedback to help make my decision.

Thanks

Bill

Bill-I run Haisley's competition pulling clutch and love it! Van knows clutches. He also has street pulling clutches. They are very street friendly, for a pulling clutch that is. I'd call Van or Patty and ask them yourself. 877)948-3164 Mitchell's clutch is also well proven.

Joe

Does anyone know of a website for the Van-Haisley, I can't seem to locate one? Thanks in advance.

Re:Mitchell or Van-Haisleys Pulling Clutch?

I'm not sure about Mitchell's clutch,JR. But Haisley's comp is not the most street friendly. It's not terrible to drive, but it can be a little hard to shift. There's alot of clutch in there and the centrifical weights...get all of that spinning and it takes a little while to slow it down.

I have a Mitchell clutch, and it is very streetable. You CAN shift fast, just not dragstrip fast, but fast enough for the street. I am very happy with it so far, I'll be pullin' with it for the first time in Jesup Ga next week. The adjustments (depends on how much abuse you give it) are done with the trans out, since there is no acess to the clutch in place.

Later, Rob
