I'm sure this sounds dumb but, I'm finally getting around to hooking up my fuel pressure gauge and I'm not sure exactly where to hook it up. I have the steel braided hose with fittings but what do I hook up to on the engine?

I haven't done this but I have heard that you want to tap between the fuel filter and the injection pump. I am not exactly sure where. If you do a search you should be able to find your answer. Also check out www.dodgeram.org and click on diesel engine. They have lots of info on there. Good luck.

Since you have a '99, you can attach the hose to the top of the fuel filter housing. On the '98 and '99 models, there are two ports on top of the filter housing: one is for pre-filter pressure and one is for post-filter pressure. In '00 they changed the filter design, so the newer trucks don't have the test ports.
