MaxFlow System

Hey Guys, I have a quick Question, My truck has got to go in for another lift pump(Number 4) it's covered by warranty. I have a Wildcat Maxflow system on and I'm wondering whether it will create a warranty issue. Personally I don't think it is the Lift pump but the dealer says they have to do that first and then they will look at the VP44 after. Seems like a waste but it's there call. My fuel pressure is good but the needle on my gauge is pulsing like mad. You can actually hear the VP44 pinging like a gaser with bad lifters. Anyway, what do guys think, should I take off the Maxflow for know or just leave it????

I say leave it on...they will have a lot more problems with your volant intake and Comp...is the pump wire pierced?

Also, do you have a needle valve upstream of the guage??

I'll take off the Volant and put original back on. I was planning on that anyway. Comp box is off the truck because I had to take it in earlier this year for warranty so I just left it off. It's winter here so no real need for the comp. right now. I have a cover kit with my comp box so the wire is ok. I have a shutoff valve inline with my gauge. I originally had a stainless line running direct to the gauge with a shutoff valve but just recently the gauge was making such a bloody racket even with the valve almost off, that I put the original sending unit back on to quite down the gauge rattle. Gauge has been quite but man is the needle going hairy. Its not moving alot but enough to be really distracting. Only have 20,000KM left on the engine warranty then the dealership can kiss my - - -. This truck has been really hard on the lift pumps(4) in a year and a half. 1 (VP44), I really begin to worry when this beast comes off of warranty. I had a 98 12 Valve prior to this and I never had one single problem other than the brake pads falling off the truck. As far as engine goes it sure was built like a brick.

I go through a lift pump a year so I feel your pain. I finally chucked the stock unit in favor for an aftermarket. Dealership tried to void my warranty because of my fuel pressure gauge and then when I got done with him, the pump they put on only put out 6 psi.
