Marine Inj Worth it??

http://www.metrosvc.com/dieselPage/d...0injectors.htm are these sticks any good? Are they worth 300$? What kind of HP gain will you actually see?

Just curious.

ok. well I guess they're total junk from the looks at the "Plethora" of replies I got on this question guess good sticks don't have "Bosch" stamped on them.

I had 370's on my 12valve, good power, lots of smoke. I had a nasty stutter at 12-13000 rpms though. I would save for a set of DDP's to be honest with you, much smoother power.

The 370s are a mismatch for the Dodge pistons. I second the DDP injectors.

You should be ok with the 300 sticks. Aren't those the 275RV sticks? You should see about 30 to 40rwhp increase, when you mix them in with a fueling box. On a stock tranny, I would not go to much bigger. I ran 90rwhp with a valve body and converter. It works for awhile. For $300, its hard for DDP to match that price. The DDP are for people wanting more power. You might find some jammer sticks on ebay for almost that amount of money.

According to these guys they sell the 275rv's and these. They say that they are supposed to be "Marine" injectors, but I havn't seen a 24v in a boat yet....My fathers boat was built in 2000 and has a 6BTA 5.9 M270 12v. I was just wondering cause I hear tons on the 275's but nothing about the 300 marine.

I ran 300 marines for a while. they were cheap but ultimatly not right. wrong spray pattern on them. when i pulled my head off i could see where the fuel was hitting the piston top and not the bowl. also made my oil look like tar in 100 miles. spend the money on some ddp's or check out new era's marine's. i bileve they have the correct spray pattern.

Dad's has had them in his truck for 3 years or so. He also runs a EZ, and no heating problems when towing. If you just won't alittle extra ump, then there worth it. JMO

OK, I saw "marine" and assumed 12V

I'm sure these are RV275s if 24V.

Yeah I'm thinking these guys are blowing smoke cause I've never heard of "300's" for a 24v or of a "24v Marine" engine for that fact. Maybe as of this year, but then that 24v would be a common rail QSB 6.7

Cummin build marine 5.9L engines, the 12v-375 and 24v-275 . They could have offered others, but those are the most popular. I'm sure there is also a marine 6.7L cummin as well. Cummin sells this engine to lots of other users besides just the truck industry. They are just aren't license to put them into pick-ups for EPA reasons, I think. The parts should be readly available over the counter and from your local cummin dealer. A heard of a few diesel shops buy the 275 nozzles and get them edm cut and then hog them out with abraisive media to smooth out the cuts and to do some fine tuning. I ran them and thought they where a waste of money as you don't really get much of extra power. I found that it took to about the 90rwhp size before it woke-up the truck, IMO.
