Hi Guys. I have a 1995 Reg cab 4+4 cummins with a auto. i was thinking about going to a manual. i know there a 5 speeds out there that will work. How about a 6 speed manual. Just like to have the extra gear. Thanks for the help

Ive not done a tranny swap, but try researching NV4500 swap or NV5600 swap. There are probably some write-ups on this site for this kind of thing.

the 5 speeds have a problem with the nut that holds 5th gear on the trans shaft backing off. making 5th gear usless. the 6 speed is the way to go. its alot bigger of a transmission but its way better. i have a 6 speed in my 00 cummins and i wouldnt want anything else in it.
