make a flip chip

i got a quad box and want to make it a flip i can run my truck with just the boost wires hook up and not the fuel wires can i cut the fuel wire and put a switch there and leave it hook up and just flip the switch when i want to and if i can can i turn on the chip while the engine is running or do i haft to turn it then turn it on just a thought

Your question and description is a little vague, but yeah, you can make it switch able. I would wire in a relay and make the distance from the chip to the pump as short as possible. Maybe mount the relay about 6" from the chip.

To be on the safe side, contact the maker of the chip and verify with them what you intend to do to make sure that it does not cook your chip first.
