Mad Eth

I read a post from six months ago where Don was talking about ETH injectors built to complement the MAD ECM. Any news or do we have any beta testers in the crowd?

Also any thoughts about using a comp (w/ appropriately programed ecm) or custom programmed tst to defuel the mad for slippery road conditions?

I dunno if they were built for the ECM, but the Mach 3.8s are optimized for the ETH, IIRC.

I'd skip the Comp and go ECM/TST.

The ECM can't be changed on the fly. It's a mod that you are married to once installed. The only workaround in slick roads is driver skill and discipline. Turning off the TST won't help much.

Personally, I think the TST should be custom programmed to not add any fuel until after 20psi or so when paired with the ECM. The ECM is already giving max fuel from the VP44, so adding more at low boost just kills performance.

I'd certainly like to test the above combo-- a catcher with a custom TST box. The TST is going to be easier to customize than the ECM, that's for sure.

My thinking is TST for top end, ECM for bottom end, and try to hand off somewhat smoothly.

Am I crazy?

I've been doing some reading and between comments that not all the power levels on the TST will be benificial and comments that TST can be programmed to *defuel* like the ez/comp leads me to beleive I can get the best of both worlds- catcher and in cab adjustability. Just a thought.

The TST has no way of defueling. It adds to what fueling is already there.

Aside from money, and valve upgrades, would a Catcher, and a Redline box make a good combo? I heard that the Redline won't even kick in till after 2500 RPM's?

Don't believe all you hear..... The redline fuels very hard down low! The RD on my truck fuels more than a custom Drag Comp did.
