With the 1.6s and a bigger turbo the truck should really wake up? Im addicted now, and working some O/T to get ready to do a converter and valve body.

Oh ya you'll notice a real big improvement with those injectors, and a turbo, although I still use my original tiny turbo(hy-35) with no egt problems.

Believe it or not, I tow with this setup regularily, and normal egt's run about 800f on the hiway(pre-turbo). Pulling up long hard hills in the mountains, many times this past summer(18,500+lbs total), egt's would eventually top out at about 1200f.

Only a couple of times I got up to 1250f cresting top of long steep hill on a 90f hot day in 3rd gear. Disabled wastegate I get 35-36 lbs boost, that's one of the reasons my temps stay reasonable. Those Mach 1.6 injectors do run cool though as compared to stock.
