when you get link, the instructions it will tell you, but you will need to grind the raised edge off around the bottom side that will allow the joint to come out. So if you have a portable grinder, just take your time so not to take to much.

I believe start to finish probaly took about 1hr and little more, just was tinkering and took my time.

On the grinding part of the instructions: Do really take it easy and grind bit by bit and try to keep the surface parallel to the other side. In my set the instructions were really good and easy to follow.

On mine the joint in the frame was a little tricky. But after a good soaking with penetrating oil and some slight hints from a 10# hammer the joint was eager to come out

The link itself that I got had some burrs on it that I cleaned up. Made things flow better. Check over the Luke's Link and smooth out any rough spots before assembly. It will got together easier when you slide the link over the nuckle.
