After reading about the LP failures and that being a cause for VP44 failure I'm wondering if there is a connection between the mods and these failures?

Maybe the stock LP can't supply enough fuel for lubrication and cooling the VP44 and the increased fuel demanded by the mods?

 

That can be the cause.. lack of fuel.. to cool and lube the VP... but its not always the failure.. Read the post below about RJ's failing VP.. He's got lots of fuel supplied to the VP.. but still its on its way out.. as have many of the VP's.. The VP can have an electrical failure too... It has its on Control on the top of the pump that can fail... or you can have a solenoid fail... Many VP's die in stock form...
U just never know....
