LP Toast??

Well finally got my FP guage in the truck....this is what i have gathered....

Key "ON" .....0 psi
Key "Bump".....slowly gets too 11.5 psi (takes full 15 sec.)
Idle..... 0.25 psi
cruise...0 psi
WOT...0 psi.

Well i guess that means its time too bite the bullet, and get a FASS. Which ones do you gues recommend?? the cheaper FASS II or the more expensive FASS with filters??

When I listened too the LP on the bump.....it was a low buzz then as the pressure climbed up, it got louder, sounded as if the motor had trouble spinning it.

Unfortunatly it will be a couple weeks before i get the FASS in seeing as I have too go too work tonight, and i get back wednesday. A total of about 600 miles will be put on before i even get back from work.....THANK GOD I CAN AFFORD A NEW VP!!

I think what i might do is put the FASS on next weekend....then wait till the VP44 gives me the old dead pedal...then get her all fixed up.

Sorry for the long post.
Jon.

I'm sure you're right about the lp, but since it's a new fp setup, be sure to double check everything to be sure it's reading right.

You are much braver than I,......driving it with 0 psi. Especially at WOT. I too found my LP to be bad after installing my FP gauge. I parked it until I could get my new LP.

I however, could NOT afford a new VP44.

If you can find the lp locally, it a pretty quick job to change.

i really dont wanna deal with this crap again.....so i am not going too fuss over the 300 dollar diff in price...especially if the fass will last longer then 30000 km (18000 mi.).

Once again.....Full FASS or the Cheaper FASS pump?? Which is easier too install?
and should i go with 95 gph or 150 gph??
