Looking For Smoke
Looking For Smoke
Guys I'm sorry, I'm not a tree hugger I love to smoke with the best of them. But my 01 Dodge stock doesnt do much of that anymore sense our new USLD came out or so that it seems to be the case for me, I also run Power service and I know that reduces smoke. How can I get my smoke back? I dont want a total black out but just enough so when I pass my mother-in-law on the way to town to eat I want to have to wait 6 seconds to see if the lane is clear to get back in that lane in front of her
. My father-in-law hates Dodges so guys I want to pass his Ford V-10 and leave him in smoke.

more fuel, or less air = smoke. the only free smoke is take of a inter cooler boot that will do it. If you add power you will get the smoke. the cheapest power is some jammer 5 nozzles on your injectors. these can be had for around 250-300 bucks. you will have a nice power increase and some smoke. The best mod on a 01 is a fuel pressure gauge, could save you $1500 on a new injection pump. If you are adding power you will also need a EGT gauge.
I can fog out a street. I am not opposed to smoke. But don't do it constantly, please. For those of us that would like to be able to continue to peruse this hobby. Smoke will contribute more to tighter government restrictions than anything else.
And like Brian said, build for power, and the smoke will come. Get gauges, and then a Smarty/Comp and maybe some injectors/nozzles.

Blackdiesel has it right
If you add more fuel and less air, like a box, and not a turbo, or some injectors you'll get the smoke you want. THis new #2 makes it hard, but smoke can still be made!!!
