Any local turbo shop ought to be able to handle a rebuild if you didn't want to tackle it yourself

If the compressor wheel contacted the housing then it needs re-balanced at a minimum if not replaced. If if seized then chances are the shaft is scored and you'll need a new turbine/shaft. It could also have gotten bad enough to score the sleeve in the CHRA. If that's the case then just find a different one lol.

If you're able to just do a rebuild kit and slap it back together----make sure you index the compressor wheel on the shaft with some sort of scribe, paint, etc before taking it off so they go back together clocked exactly the same in relation to each other.

There cheap. If you where in Calgary, I have a spare new one stilling at home that I could sell ya. Its a common turbo, I wouldn't even try an overhaul the turbo for what they cost. I bought my last one for $600. Smoken price.

Where do you guys find an ht3b turbo for cheap?

And are all of them the same or do some have different exhaust housings than others?

Thanks Adam

turbine shafts and compressor wheels are balanced individually... therefore they do not have to be indexed in any way

Thats why everyone runs them. It cheap to build and run. They last forever, unless you don't give them oil. They take lots of heat and abuse.
S400 is slightly more $$$, but is a good choice as well.
