Location / Trans Temp Guage
#7
I put my gauge up on the pillar as it's part of the X Monitor I have. Don't know why those guys would mount gauges in their pans or "hot" line. Have to be dang near impossible to see while driving.

I hope your joking. We are mounting the sensor part of the guage in the hot line, then the display part of the guage is in the cab.

Actually we are not nice. The OP is asking for a suggestion and we are having fun with the replies... .
Hopak, if you mean where to place sending unit, I would suggest outlet line before enters heat exchanger next to engine, that would be the highest oil temp you can find.
If you want to know where to place gauge, the pillar mount is the most popular, otherwise any location around dash that is not in the way but still very visible.
Once you have the gauge installed it will be the most watched after speedometer.
