I bought those same fog lights at wallly world, they come with a bracket on them. When i put them on i just screwed the screws into the plastic molding on the inside after i lined them up which took a little elbow grease.haha Was a little tricky, but i probably only spent an 1 to hook everything up considering they did not come on the truck.

I also got those fog lights at walmart. I modified the bracket a little and screwed into the plastic. They work pretty well for $20.

I took the stock fog light off the bracket and turned the bracket around on the walmart fog and screwed it into the stock bracket.

I put a set of those on my truck like you did about 2 years ago. Still working fine.

Bue Tint/ Radiators

Will the fogs still fit with my coolers (radiator-things for transmission, etc)
behind the grill? Looks like a tight fit, anyone with heavy duty tow
package done it?

Also, Like Buckshotram,
The fog lights I found at Walmart look really blue in the box.
I thought the pic you posted looked blue too...
But they don't have a blue hue when they are off?
(couldn't tell if it was the blue bulb they come with
or some kind of blue coloring in the reflector...
Or is it just blue cellophane in the packaging?

thanks Haloman for this thread, this is a super desirable upgrade and you've
really made it seem do-able. Great thread!

Thanks for the Comment. i am no mechanic and I would have trouble if it wasn't plug and play which all the upgrades are very plug and play.

The fog light bulbs do look blue but give off a white light that matches the silverstar bulbs I have in the headlights. To me they are a good white light with no blue that I can tell and are not blinding white like the HIDs in the newer BMW vehicles. The ones I posted run $20, I have no experience with the other kits they sell. These fog lights should fit just fine as they attach to the stock fog light mounting bracket they way I have them and actually stick out a bit farther so you shouldn't have any clearance issues AFAIK.

Barngal- report back how it goes- the heavy duty tow package was not available factory with fogs because of supposed clearance issues from the thicker stuff up front.

Looks good Haloman!

Sorry, its going to be a while before I do this, my "next" mod...
just had nerf bars, a bed box and posi-loc installed
(and a new starter)
so I'll be waiting a little while before I do the lights and the fogs.
BUT I will post when I do it (unless you try it before me)

Jenni

You could but it would be more expensive.

What exactly is Armorshield and where do you get it. . . googling Armorshield brings up a lot of different companies by that name but none look like the right one.

So an update on this for you guys. I guess when I said "complete" it was nt exactly true. Back in Decemeber my Walmart fog light mount broke on a road trip so I replaced those with some stock fog lights from Ebay. Then after riding in a truck with a set of HID bulbs, I had to have a set. Installed a "Flashtech" 6000K Hi/Low kit last night. WOW!!!!!!!! It is brighter and throws more light on the road than I thought possible with the aftermarket housings. Very pleased with the initial results. No pics yet as we finished late last night, but will update.
