leveling kit
i just got my 2 inch leveling kit today and i am planning on putting it on over the long weekend any suggestions or comments on tricks for doing this.do you need to get the frontend realigned?any imput will be greatly appreciated. thanks
I would do an alignment
Mine was way off when I did my D25 springs
Use the bottle jack out of the vehicle inbetween control arm and frame
Spring compressor would be handy in case you need it. I needed it on one side on mine.
Good luck pulling the shock out up through on the drivers side. I said screw that and took mine on and off with coil spring.

I happen to have an inverted "Y" steering linkage on my '96. I've heard some years used a straight tie rod with a seperate drag link, but I'm not that familiar with Dodge front ends. Anyway, with the Y style, you definately need to do an alignment, because you'll be toe'ing in after even a slight lift.
To see if you have the inverted "Y", follow the linkage. Starting at the passenger front knuckle, there will be a tie rod running from the knuckle to the steering box drag link. There will be a second tie rod attached to the first near the passenger knuckle, which runs to the driver's side knuckle.
If you have a straight tie rod, there will be one tie rod running from one knuckle to the other, and a second tie rod hooked to that running up to the drag link.
