Level Kit and Now I Bounce

Got a level kit put in on my '94 4X2 and I did expect some change in ride. I'm bouncing pretty big up front going over even minor bumps. Is this to be expected or should I look at the shocks?
Hey, it looks nice, though. And now I can fit 285s.

I did the same, but with springs and shocks. It sounds like you need to look at your shocks. I can give you the #'s for the KYB MonoMax I used, if that's what you're in the market for ... great shocks! No bounce here, solid as a rock!

Sorry to go off track but can I lift the front of my 3500 dually? I cant find anything for it. Would your kit work with mine? I would love it to sit higher.

there are several companies that make leveling kits for you truck.
theres a few that make the spacer but my favourite is the skjacker d-25 springs replacement. by far the best way to go but change your shocks at the same time or you'll have buddys problem ^

Nobody makes a kit for your truck (2WD). You need to either use a spacer and new shocks or do as I did and replace the worn out stock springs with 2" over stock custom springs ... they're not expensive! Mine are from CSS (Coil Spring Specialties: http://www.coilsprings.com/ ) and are awesome! I replaced my stock shocks with KYB MonoMax and the truck rides really nice! Look up "Cowhand," he's a member here and knows his stuff about suspension ... he's who helped me out! I can povide you the information for the shocks if you need it. Good luck!

Sounds like a plan. I know the guy who helped me put in the spacers said I had the original shocks in there and they looked pretty tired. You said the KYB MonoMax aren't too pricey? Whatever it will take to settle my ride down.
I made a left at an intersection all torn up with construction and the road was kinda uneven. Shoot I was bouncing so bad I had to pretty much stop in the middle of turning to get it back under control. Not good!
Thanks for your help! I need all that I can get!!

With the 2" overstock height in the front, the shocks I had to use were the KYB MonoMax #565102. I'm not sure if your setup will be the same. If you're not looking at the KYB's, use the part number to cross reference to another shock ... maybe even a cheaper shock, like a Monroe, just to see if it works out ... not to say Monroe's are bad, don't get me wrong! The KYB's will cost you in the mid $50 ea. range.

Got the KYB info written down. I'll see on Monday what I can find. Hoping they can work on it in the auto shop at school for me.

Okay, the kid at Murray's gave me some Monroe shocks, as they did not have KYB in stock. I 'm kinda wanting this done quick so I can get the 285/75/R16 Coopers on. Man, I hope this works!! I would think anything will be better than the stock shocks from 12 years ago (or so I assume they are).

Let me know if those 285's work. I'm looking at 235/85/16's.
