Talking Let's hear some N20 stories!

I was just curious what kind of luck you guys have had with nitrous? I love mine. From 40-45 mph in 3rd gead w/ t/c locked and from about 5 psi, when you hit the nitrous the turbo spools so fast to 50 psi and the 200 hp from the nitrous it chirps the tires! I think that's pretty cool for a 7,000 lb truck. From 25mph in 2nd gear it spins so bad it will start to fish tale.

Let me know what you guys think and what setup works for you. Thanks

Will Nitrous cool the mix like water/meth does or does it increase egts?
Thanks,

Would a 50 shot be okay to run on a 2nd Gen with just head studs and nothing else, or would i be fliterting with disaster with the headgasket. Just looking for a little something more off the line when racing, thanks

Is nitrous ok on an H.O. with stock headgasket (94,000 miles) and no studs. How big a shot is recommended?

A 50 shot shouldn't hurt anything with studs, how much boost are you at?

It should be alright as long as used in moderation, maybe a 50-75 shot. In case any one is wondering the ZEX kit is awesome. The programable TPS module is genious!

I may be wrong but I understood that straight water was the best way to cool. Nitrous cools 150-200* and the power increase is much more than water/meth.

Im not much on making power off of nitrous or pane, but it sure would be fun to have some studs and a 75 shot of nitrous on the street

Red12valver, I am running 48psi of boost, everything is stock except for the fact that i have the ARP Studs. Do you think that it would still be alright at the boost pressure, thanks again for your time

Remember when you spray it will gain you 2-3 psi of boost. I'm not positive but I've heard of studs only holding 55psi no problem. I think it would hold as long as you don't use it and every stop light. But I'm not positive maybe someone with some more experience can give you a more definate answer. Just don't send me the bill if something bad happens=(

Your sledpuller turbo has the dual ported wategate therefore running nos would be no problem at all and you might see 1-2psi more than normal.
