LED Tail Lights
The running and brake/turn signals appear brighter than stock to me. I installed one at a time to compare, but it was daylight. Other folks that have seen them say they look brighter.
The backup light uses the stock bulb, but the lense is clearer than the stock housing so it is improved a bit IMHO.
Next I may bight the bullet and try one of those ~$150 HID kits off of eBay, I can always go back to stock if they don't last. I don't really like the look of the projectors in 2nd gen, I think the stock opening is too tall.

What about these headlights? Anybody use them yet?

Those 2nd gen full setups look great!
I have full LED tails (not backup light) on my third gen using the factory housings. For those who want to stick with stock housings these newer LED OEM replacement bulbs have finally came around to providing the amount of light required.
I went with the tower LED 3157's. This company keeps coming up with better and brighter setups. Mine were $18.99 each. I see they again have a new design called the Eagle Eye tower with a super bright 3 watt rear facing bulb and 10 radially mounted brite LED's.
I can tell you the ones I have are brighter no doubt in ALL conditions than stock incandescent bulbs. Yes they are there now! Also with the tower design, the entire reflectors get fully illuminated.
I am using load resistors to keep the bulb out warning from activating. I love these bulbs.
I'm now experimenting with a Blue LED mounted directly in line by drilling a hole through the outer lens. It gives the "blue dot" effect. So far I am really happy with those results. Experiment still in progress on a clean mounting system.
This is the brake lights. The top lights have the blue LEDs...

I just got my pair of rear LED for my 2nd (same ebay dude as Sea Drive got his), i'm getting them painted as we speak, should be ready by the end of this week or next. I have rear LED bulbs rite now and they are brighter then regular bulbs. I'm looking into LED bulbs for the cab lires now.
hey Sea Drive with the LEDs tails do they blink at regular speed??

Mine do, but I also installed this flasher from these guys (also purchased front amber marker/blinker LED bulbs from them):

Never tried them with the stock flasher and didn't like the idea of a resistor that is just wasting power on heat.
