LED Tail Lights

Quite a while ago some folks on here were talking about LEDs for a 2nd Gen. At that time some were starting to pop up on eBay. I took a chance and ordered some (well Santa brought them).

Installed them today, and they look great. Fit and finish is great (they look very close to stock). They don't include LED for the backup bulb (they use your stock bulb) but because of the clear lens over the backup, it brightens them up quite a bit too.

I got mine from "Option", others are selling, but just wanted any 2nd genners looking for LED tail lights know, these look great. Will just have to wait and see how they last.

I also did an LED 3rd brake light too and replaced the bulbs up front to match. I'm all LED now except for the white bulbs (backup and cargo).

I'd still love to get some LED clearance lights, but not sure yet whether or not I want to put holes in my roof...just makes me nervous.

Different seller, but assuming they are all coming from the same factory, yes those are what are on my truck. I'll try to get some pics soon, keep an eye on my gallery.

Looks good, what did you have to do for the blinkers to work correctly? Also, where did you purchase the LED third brake light? Thanks

I got my 3rd brake light from same place I got the tail lights, Option Racing on eBay (ricer shop). I bought my LED replacement bulbs up front from TMI LEDs on eBay, as well as a special flasher for LEDs (no resistors to heat up). I never tried them with the stock flasher so not sure what they would have done.

How do these LED tailights compare in brightness to the stockers? What about the backup light brightness? Thanks
