LED Gauge Lights

o well i started changing the lights in my factory gauges and interment panel but i went to do the gauge cluster and its only putin out .5 mllivolts not enough to light up an led has anyone else done this and how did they get it to work

turn up the dimmer on the headlight switch?? I have not done this but the voltage is way to low to light up a 12volt bulb. The dimmer will cut back the voltage to dim the dash lights.

and the old lights were bright, or is that why you are changing the old ones?

if the dimmer is all the way up and it works you should have 12 volts. If you only have .5 milivolts you have to find the voltage drop.

Might have to wire in some resistors IIRC.

lights are fully bright just puttin leds in to match my stereo

Something's wrong. You shouldn't see 0.5 mV.
