Last chance to chime in. Advice Needed.

I finnally decided to bomb my virgin 94 auto 3500 ctd. My goal is 300hp reliable without high egt's. I have an appointment next friday with Mass Diesel to have the folloing done: KDP, 3k GSX, #5 fuel plate, 215 injectors, and pump timing. I have already added a multi disk billet converter and shift kit. I am also installing a 4" exhaust. I am using this to haul my drag car to and from the track, 24' enclosed trailer about 7500lbs loaded. I dont have plans to upgrade the turbo unless I have to. What should I do about delivery valves?
Thanks
Herb

You can add some 181's which are stock in the 215HP pumps or use 191's, whichever you feel like or can get cheaper. It is a slippery slope once you start this stuff, you never feel satisfied! lol Enjoy your new-found power though!

You should have a really good base once they tweak it, you'll hardly be able to tell it's the same truck One thing I forgot to mention is that if you overshoot your goal HP for being able to tow without excessive EGT's a valet switch is a quik easy way to fix that problem. With mine opened up (full fuel) I can nearly peg my pyro in the upper two gears, with it closed (full valet) I think my max EGT is 1000*, but it still feels like its got the low-end to rip the Titanic in half.... again, lol.

Will the shift kit protect your tranny? Are you sure you need to use a #5 plate? It's not recommended for a stock tranny and you are doing other mods too. I don't think you need a #5 along with injectors. Your fuel economy will probably go way dow too. Maybe a 10 or 8?

The tranny was upgraded to newer specs, square cut gears. The #5 plate was recommended by Mass Diesel. Anyone have a similar combo?
Thanks
