Unhappy Killed my Mojave Green TC, maybe more

Pulled a trailer 80 miles to pick up a truck yesterday, picked up the truck, and trailered it about 100 miles to another location and then dropped the trailer.

Total weight was about 7,000lbs between the truck & trailer.

Ever since then, my TC slips pretty nicely in overdrive.. and doesn't shift nearly as firm as it used to between 1-2,2-3 & 3-4 isn't even noticeable.

In overdrive, If I attempt to accelerate, the RPMs go up to nearly 3kRPM and then the MPH catches up eventually. Its bad even just going up hills with the cruise control on.

I am going to put a fully built Goerend Brothers Transmission, with all 3 billet shafts and the 48RE clutch drum.
Dave says the T/C is slipping and the forward clutch may also be slipping.

We ran through some procedures and determined that the engine DOES attempt to lock the T/C, but it slips too much.

I may have it in by the end of the month.. Then I'll be set for this years TRUCK PULL season

Ask Dave about going with the billet input and intermediate shaft only...I like his thinking. That makes the output shaft the "fusible link" to prevent worse carnage. The way Dave put it to me, if the output shaft goes, he can send you another OD section that could be changed on the side of the road if necessary. Doesn't require dropping the trans to replace. This is what I plan on doing if I can ever blow this trans.

Then again, it might just be cheaper to grenade a yoke or R&P....

Dave is the man in my books. I know dtt is top knotch but what dave did for me was unbelievable. I recomend him to anyone that needs and auto or parts for one. Im a customer for life with him.

I was wondering when that was gonna happen. I hope mine will last long enough so that when it goes; I can build it right this time from the bottom, up. I want to get a VB sometime, but have to have a job first, and i have had no luck finding a job yet. Let us know how you like your new tranny
