Hey there everyone! whats going on? Well we were runnin the 99 and the 04 the other night and of course the 04 won. both trucks in question are in stock form right now, What would it take to get the 99 up to par so it could stick with the 04? Guages are installed on the 99, its got the "cool" factor, Got fuel psi egt tranny and boost. IT doesnt really tow anything, maybe a law mower once in a while ahha Basically is it possible with some simple mods? Chip, or maybe chip and some injectors? Trannys been built so im told but ill wait till she starts to go south and replace it, feels pretty strong now, Darn pre owned trucks anyway :P

No actually it would not take much, probably just a box would do nicely.....I would watch the board classifieds or ebay or the better known vendors that support the board. A box, (adjustable) and 4 inch exhuast....

 

A 99 auto will take 60 Hp injectors and an edge ez or equivilant together to get the same Hp as the 04.5.

99 auto will dyno approx. 170 Hp to the wheels, factory specs is 215 bhp.

try some big injectors and a chip,edge ez or van aaken,i got some 130hpxxx injectors and avan aaken chip and i can smoke my dads 04 6spd,when i get my mad ecm my dad will be long gone in my soot cloud.

 

An Edge EZ and a set of 275 injectors should do the trick.
