well i went to the body shop and they basically told me that everything was messed up when i took it in, we had some words and so forth, well i left when they said they were going to call the cops to make a long story short. so i went home and some of the fuses werent pushed in all of the way, that fixed my radio but not the dome lights the screwed up the switches that shuts them off and on and now they stay on all the time, so i had to take out the bulbs, but now when i am driving down the road and i accelerate, my fass shuts off and truck dies, i tried going to town this morning and i died on me at least 5 times i am begining to think that there might be air in the lines because they had my bed off and my lines off of the fass pump but it is throwing p0645 and p1693. it makes me verry sick my truck looks so good but now it runs like crap and i have a new set of mach 6's to put in it but i want to get everything else fixed first.

I would contact better bus. bureau, file a complaint, write a letter to owner, if employees are driving 105 miles that is major problem liability etc.

I know you are upset & you should be, but can you show us some pics of the new paint?

a body shop has no right to drive 105 miles and turn up your box while doing it. They should buy you a new box just for your troubles

A body shop has no business putting more miles than it takes to go from the parking lot to the shop to the paint booth and back. That is BS! You need to contact a lawer and see what your options are or atleast have himm write you a letter. They get a letter in the mail from an attorney and they might think before they Edit up someone elses truck. It might cost you some money to get the letter written but it would be woth it. I have been through this kinda crap before and it really erks me off.

as soon as it stops raining and i can get some pics i will post them, the truck does look great, i also found out that the shop that painted my truck did a camero for some one and took it out on a joy ride and totaled it, and they had to pay for it, so i am thinking of a lawer, i am sending my box back to quad today hopefully it isnt totaly screwed.

You gave them a chance to make things right. I would say without proof or a good datalog, you wouldn't have a chance in court. After hearing about the Camaro, you actually would have a good shot. If they are making it a habbit to joyride, I would go down the street with a video camera & catch some footage of some of their joyrides, then contact my lawyer.

thats a good idea, i might try to do that on some days off, it hard to find one of those on the farm though, maybee a rainy day. it just really sucks i was so excited about getting my truck back, now i have to send my box back in, (i was hoping to impress some of my wifes ford fan family members over christmas) so i probably wont get it back untill january which sucks, i just got my stacks in today, i was going to go ahead and put in the mach 6's but there really isnt any sense untill i get my box and a turbo. i just got my radio working properly which took forever to fix all i can say is that it sucks bad the paint job is awesome though really shiny and the clear looks like glass, but now it goes slow oh well

Ya know, just thinking out loud,, if you were to let us know who they are, you may create some leverage for your self.

In my opinion that is complete bull****. I have no respect, good feelings, anything for people that take others pride and joy and think they can do what they want with it while it is in their hands. That being said I understand a short drive from booth to booth for a body shop, or going up a road, etc for any sort of truck shop. But 100 miles, what the heck were they doing? Probably took it out before they painted it..

I would be contacting a lawyer and seeing if you have enough to file something. I don't know much about court and all of that, but I would be fuming. Especially being as they clearly wrecked some electrical components.

yeah that is what i am thinking i actually talked to them late yesterday and they told me once i found out what the adrenaline is going to cost to fix to let them know, but they didnt say they would take care of it, so once i see what they are going to do that is going to determine what i do about a lawyer. i have found out for sure that they didnt take any of the battery cables off of my truck while welding on it, so i am thinking that caused the problem with the adr.

Sounds like a good plan. And I am surprised they didn't disconnect the batteries. Might as well ground at the ECM and weld at the other end of the truck

You should send them a nice LITTLE bill for the 100 mile rental of your high performance truck and be sure to include the surcharge for the fuel and tire use along with anything damaged during said rental (your box).
I could understand 2-5 miles because even a body shop is has the right to a professional road test to make sure everything is working correctly (which as we see they did not do) but that 100+ miles is waaaaaay out of line.

Keep this little bill under wraps until you see what they are going to do for you i think with your having written down the mileage when you dropped it off and then noting it when you picked it up you would do good against them in small claims court. Add in the other problems along with their past history and you should do well with the judge.

Good luck and i hope their body work holds up a long time for you.
