i am having a hard time finding genuine cummins rebuild kits on the net. the closest cummins parts house i know of is 200 miles from where i live. i am going to start rebuilding my motor again because i used chinese pistons the first time and now have holes burned in them. granted, i ran it too hard, but i just want to try cummins parts this time. is it worth the extra money to get marine pistons from a 370 or not? my head and valves and crankshaft is fine just want to bore and put pistons-rings and bearings. and maybe a cam swap and im going to rebuild the ip or get a different one. the one i have is shot.

 

how far have you bored your block out. i have a 24v block with a couple wasted cylinders. just wondering how far you can bore them.i would say marine pistond would be a good idea if your running marine injectors. that way you not spraying out of the bowl in the piston and washing down the cylinders. but im no 12v expert
