If it's a auto you will need a j hook or a turnbuckle to keep the wastegate shut, but if it's an manual you need to put a boost elbow in the front of the compressor housing on the turbo.

Did you use the boost elbow? If not then theres your problem. It should have come with a boost elbow that helps keep the wastegate shut for higher boost #'s.

You will need the boost elbow for your 2000 model.

Daniel is right, all the 98.5-00 trucks will need a boost elbow for the HX35. It gets a little complicated when you go to the 01-02 trucks, in those year models the manual tranny trucks have the HX35 so it takes the boost elbow but the auto trucks will need a J-hook for the HY35 they have since the wastegate line isn't rubber. Hope this helps.

I put in the elbow that came in the kit, and see up to 33-34.
But haven't tried to do anything to hard, trans needs work, and I thought the most output with my stock turbo was 35ish.

Brass elbow goes on the turbo compressor housing. You will need a little hose clamp 1/4"-5/8" clamping ability if Juice did not come with one.

Just replace the brass elbow on the turbo just like you see in the picture below.

This elbow limits the amount of boosted air that can flow through the hose to open the wastegate. With elbow, you should see 30-35 psi boost with the Juice set to kill.
