Jammer 2's or 3's

well i got my smarty in and i need more fuel. so help me decide which ones 75hp or 100hp nozzles. i really want the 100hp, since they are supposely overrated in hp. i can only get 1225deg at really WOT throttle. and also keep my tranny in mind, its rebuilt to stock, i think. my egt at cruising 65mph are 500-650 deg give or take alittle. this is on flat ground no load, i never tow. please help as i want to buy asap for the labor day weekend sale. i can get the 100hp for about $190.

thanks again dieselfan

If you never tow, I'd say get the big ones. But I'd think your tranny will give you grief with either injectors. Probably time for a TC and VB. I've got the 2's in my truck, and it moves pretty good, but I've also got a HRVP, how much that helps, I'm not sure. With the Smarty, pump and sticks, my clutch won't hold any more (supposedly new 70k km ago, before I bought the truck). Because of that, I've never been able to do a full run with my combo, so I can't really comment on temps. I've never had it overly hot. After the clutch comes, I'll give it a full run, and see how hot it gets.

Hey Dieselfan,
I have J-3's and a Smarty. It's a nice combo. I can leave an intersection BLACK or I can leave with no smoke. I load my truck heavy and when I have say 4000 - 6000lbs in the truck I can run my EGT's up to the 1500deg mark if I'm climbing a big hill and that's if I have the accelerator peddle buried into the carpet. If I take it easy egt's aren't really an issue. I do have a Snows water meth system on the way which should drop my egts a bit. I will also be going for a new turbo and probably some Don Ms or Jammer 5/6s.
Oh yea, your Trannie ain't gonna like it with 3 and a Smarty.
Good luck,
Topper

I just put #3's on yesterday and I am very happy. My tires are'nt though. I have never peeled out in an auto in 1,2 and 3rd and I had to let off in 3rd to get it to stop. It does lope like you got a cam in it but I'm sure I'll find someone here with a solution.
