Talking I've created a monster...

Well after 8 vacation days, I finally have my truck running! Over the 8 days I've installed or helped install the following items on my 99 CTD:

DonM's ported oringed 24v head
Mach 6 Injectors
an Extreme FASS
a PDR HX40 / B2 twin setup from Idaho CTD
SouthBend's Dual Disk clutch
Haisley's hardened input shaft
a Diesel Dynamics cam
and probably other stuff that I forgot already

I still have to tweak the little things, but this thing HAULS!! It's seriously fast! As soon as the turbos spool in 2wd with the PM3 comp on level 9, it kicks the back end of the truck sideways no matter what gear. I plan on dyno'ing at the end of Febuary or sooner and I'll post those results as soon as I have them. Here's the list of people who helped me out, I'd highly recommend any of these crazy guys:

Rod from Wildcat Diesel, DonM (F1 Diesel Mach series injectors), Merrick @ Laredo Performance Diesel, Peter @ SouthBend (who went out of his way to get the right stuff here in time), Frostie, BatteringRam & all of the DTR late night chat support group and last but not least, my grandpa who let me use his heated shop and helped out on nearly everthing we did during the build (even though he claims to be an 80 year-old man). Sorry if I forgot anyone. On Edit: Ahhh! I forgot Nathan! Sorry man! As Rod says "Sweet rigging on those turbos!"

I took some pictures of the whole install process, there's even a movie of the initial startup. www.firepunk.com/gallery/Twins

Almost forgot ... my (blonde) mother named my truck. Ready? "'CT²D' for Cummins Turbo Turbo Diesel".

I'll list some used stuff in the classifieds when I get home, mainly a Scotty2, MaxFlow Kit, HX35, etc...

Thanks Chris! There's just one grin on my face the whole time! The reason is that it takes some muscle to keep the thing from trying to swing the back end into either ditch. Otherwise, I'm a combination of Once I have the launch down & clutch seated right, I think I may need to eat some rice.

Very soon we'll have some dyno numbers. I have a few little things left to work out yet before I strap to some rollers. The fuel mileage numbers came out nicely. The first tank was 11.099 MPG, mostly hot rodding around. The next tank, 100 miles in Kansas was 13.287, the next tank was 300+ miles in MO, IL was 14.060 and next 300 miles in IN, OH was 14.241 MPG. My bet is once I have the boost and fuel leaks fixed, it will increase a bit more.

It's awesome!

The good news is that I'm running 70-72 PSI before the intercooler. At 43PSI, I see 37PSI at the intake which is 16% drop in pressure. Sound about right?

I finally got another boost gauge in it today. I was under the impression when I bought the the PM3 comp that it had a 0-99 boost gauge. It's really unfortunate to buy a $300 remote and have it limited to 55PSI. Kinda makes you wonder if the pyro is limited to 1410 since that's the hottest I can make it.

Still looking for someone to donate an EZ to my cause and I'm hoping for my VP44 dies so I have a good excuse for a really really really healthy one. Also, the water/meth kit is probably on hold until I can swap the head bolts for studs.

Here's the dyno results:
http://www.firepunk.com/gallery/CIDDD

Oh, and winter fuel mileage is awesome for 4.10 gears! I average 15.5-16, including some light (9k) towing.

So explain to me why the torque with the box on has the big valley in it. Impressive numbers though.
