Isolator question

Installed FP guage with isolator/needle valve...won't work. Moved guage to direct feed off of grease fitting shows 20 lbs at idle (have holly pusher back at the tank). Rip's sending a new isolator next week, but why don't it work?

I filled the guage side of isolator with anti freeze, and the little tube with anti freeze. There is no leakage through the diaphram....No kinks in the little line. Should I be able to move the diaphram with a little air or blunt object? There is also a big screw on the pressure side. What's that for?

Hope it is only cockpit error....Help me to save Rip from having to ship another one.

I think in time you will throw your isolator in the garbage. I went through two before I gave up and plumbed it in direct with no isolator. Been fine ever since.

Guage working.... diaphram was stuck. Gave it a little poke and it broke lose and became very flexible...Reinstalled and bingo. Have 19 at idle 16 at 65 and 10 at WOT.

I agree!

Throw that isolator in the round file. I diaphram will soon fail any ways. Plumb it direct ot the guage with a needle valve and be done...

I've got a isolator (Needle Valve) that is...
