Isolator question

I am preparing to order a gauge package including the isolator for the FP guage. If the purpose of the isolator is to keep fuel out of the cab what makes the FP guage work..air pressure? Thanks...

Most isolators use either antifreeze/water mix or windshield washer fluid.

Something that won't freeze and is better than Diesel in the cab.
