Intercooler Boots

Who's replaced theirs?

Where'd you get em?

Tips for doing so?

I think that's the cause of my low boost numbers (I think something rubbed through in a small area.....).

Looking to get some new ones.....

Thoughts.....

These folks sell the boots, among others. Get the spring loaded clamps to hold the new ones, use cheap hair spray to help them slide on and make sure the fender lip on the right side does not touch the boot at bottom right side. Take the lip and bend it down for more clearance when the boot is inflated.

I found better prices @ www.siliconeintakes.com. I just bought a 3" x 2' section of hose from them and cut it to my desired lengths to replace my straight/bump hoses and they seem to be working real well.

Any1 know what the exact ID sizes are for the 45 degree bends goin into the intercooler??? One size is obviously a 3" hose but what is it goin into the intercooler??

I hand measured it and saw between 3 5/8" and 3 3/4" inchs. Just wonderin if any1 knows what they are spec'd at..

Thanks,

Ben B

I would add that you should probably look for the constant tension spring clamps instead of the t-bolt clamps.

Good thread.

The clamps that all of these people sell with the boots are the spring loaded, constant pressure type, that you need.
