Interchangable exhaust housings??

Can anyone give me an idea which exhaust housings will fit the HX35w turbo? I know what I need but do not know which ones fit it. Do the early Dodge/Cummins housings fit?

Yes the housings from a 1st gen w/h1c turbo will work on an hx35. That will give you a choice of 18.5 or 21 cm housings.

the older 18 and 21cm housings attached to the downpipe with a band clamp where as the 99s are bolted on but an exhaust elbow from a 97 and older uses the band clamp to attach to the down pipe

Thanks guys for the info. I had an opportunity to purchase an elbow for the older models and passed on it.... darn. The turbo that I intend to put it on is also a band clamp turbo. The commercial engines use the old style, so I installed the Dodge turbo and never got around to changing it. Should be an easy change, it only has a couple of thousand miles on it. Now if I could find someone that wanted to swap.... Mine is a 12cmwg bolt in to a first gen.

I finally got all the parts together and have assembled the turbo. Will be installing it in the next couple of days, hx35-18.5 with the turn down for the stock pipe. I will let you know how it works out for economy and any loss of power. Not sure yet if I will have to move the pipe forward or not. Looks like the longer exhaust housing and the shorter elbow will evan out and just bolt up. We will see.

Chris yes received it yesterday afternoon. Got rained out, have severe right now, hoping to get a break to hook up and move a load, if not wet time. Remember the weather you get we generally get a day later. I will get with you and settle up over the weekend. Thanks so much, and quick too, wow. It went together easily, so maybe I made the right decisions and the larger housing will do what I think it will. Of course I have never made a mistake
