AFE is probable the top of the line as far as balance between filtration & flow! They seem expensive, to me.

I had a K&N FIPK II, and had no debris or oil problems in my intake or turbo for 40,000 miles.... but many seem to have problems. Some of the problems were self induced, IMO, by over oiling or over cleaning! Others, I believe had bad luck with earlier K&N systems. Not sure? The FIPK II is very nice. Just my $.02.

my 99 had a k&n on it for at least 250,000 miles and had no problems what so ever, and i have never known anyone to have problems with a k&n

i'd go with the k&n, but im really cheap! lol

I've got one on my homemade BHAF and no problems in about 50,000 miles. Compressor wheel still looks brand spankin new.
