intake manifold question

Looking for a new intake for my 98 12 valve, and found this
http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/94do12vablin.html
It notes that it's not for trucks with hydroboost brakes, which I have. I can't see how the intake could effect the operation of the brakes? Or is it an issue with fit, lines in the way or something else? Thanks, SD

Probably due to fit..The accumulator for the HB brakes probably touches the horn.

I've heard mixed reviews on replacing these pieces and whether they are worth the money. The 12V head and intake ports are more the restriction than any of the intake system..

dont waste your money on a cfm + in the 1st place, you can get a cooler tubz off ebay for under 200 dollars (i paid 160 for mine) its simpler( bolt on none of this u cant use it with hydro boost b/s ), made out of metal that mandrel bent so theres no kinks.

Thanks for the info. My truck has the super restrictive California intake, and I've not been able to find a stocker to replace it. I was even considering welding up my own as the mandrel bent pieces are readily available here. Just wanted to make sure it would work.

esde it shoudl work as thats basically what the cooler tubz is. I would put a lip at the end that connectes to the intercooler boot. why? because it will hellp keep the intercooler boot on better then if you had it.

They should correct that ad in the DTR store, since both 97 and 98 come with hydroboost brakes. They should change it to 94-96.
